There is not such a thing in Europe so I don’t understand it. Here it costs only if you are out of your country. But i have heard that in America it costs you wheever you recieve a call. Is it true?

Hello, well I rented out my community club house about 4 weeks ago. They gave us a key to get in and said if it didn’t work to call them and they would program in in manually. Well we have tried it several times and it still doesn’t work. My husband called them 2 weeks ago saying that they land management guy would get in contact with us to arrange to view the club house and give us a functional key. But he never got back to us, we called ….again! Still no help, saying that they would but nobody did! And when we call the office the woman who is handling our community has a "do not disturb " sign on her office door. So yet again my husband called the last 3 days with no help. Our baby shower is the 19th and we have 50 guests coming. So tomorrow we are going to the office in person to demand a key. This place is trying my patience and is very unprofessional. So now im worried that they still wont help us and I will have no where to throw our shower! We put a 100.00 cleaning deposit sown and paid 50.00 to rent the space. They already took our money and I have no key. Now my question is what if they don’t give me a key tomorrow? Is there anything I can do? This is a very special day for me and I don’t want to have it ruined by some lazy jerks who don’t do their jobs. Is there any thing legal I can threaten them with? I just want whats mine. I am a renter but all the h.o.a fees are paid. Please give me any advice you have. Thanks.

I need help setting up Asterisk in the following scenario:

There are two phone lines with two different numbers, and 4 phone sets, each of them connected to both the lines. We want to set up a phone-system using Asterisk. (or a similar software solution).

What equipments do we need?
We will have to install the Asterisk software, so obviously we need a computer, which we have.

However, it seems Asterisks doesn’t support Windows, where as our computers are Windows based. What should be done in this case?

Let’s say we have been able to install the Asterisk software, by using a linux computer. Now that we have the computer with the needed software installed, what should be the next step?

Currently we have regular land phone lines, and not voip lines. We do not intend to subscribe to any voip phone line either.

Given the above scenario, what equipments/tools will we need to set up Asterisk for our regular phone lines, to facilitate a phone-system?

We have Uniden-brand cordless phones for our landline and lately we’ve been having lots of static on outgoing calls. When we call someone they can barely understand us due to the static on the line, whereas we can hear them clearly. Also, if someone calls us, static doesn’t seem to be a problem at all. The problem with static seems to be more pronounced when we try to make long-distance calls and is less of a problem with local calls. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing it and how to fix it? Thanks.
