finding cheap calling method to call Guinea from US?
One person in our office is from Guinea which is in Africa. Which would be the cheapest mode of communication for him to call Guinea. The phone cards are about 24c/minute. He got Magic Jack but that too is 26c/minute as per http://www.magicjack.com/international/
Are there any low priced options for calling to Guinea through a landline or cell phone?
Would VOIP solutions like Skype work? I checked it but it says 36c/min?
I know Yahoo Voice Chat is free but the place to where he will be calling does not have a Internet connection?
Are there any cheaper alternatives for calling to Guinea?
Thanks

These virtual prepaid phone cards give you very good rates for calling from US to Guinea:

You can try your local gas stations and see if they have international calling cards. Some areas have a better selection than others regarding international calling cards. It depends on the size and variety of the immigrant population in the area. I have had great difficulty finding an affordable calling card to call Mali, so I use the expensive AT &T one from Wal-Mart.
Skype is not cheap. Try talktt.com, much cheaper than Skype and no download required. Just sign up and login and make calls, that’s it. I checked the rate for Guinea, less than 20c. It’s worth a try.
