My daughter is 12 years old and doesn’t want her answering machine to be "Hi this is Michelle. I can’t talk right now, so leave a message and i’ll call you right back!". She wants something else. She HATES the ones that go "hello?………….." etc etc so you start talking and then it cuts you off saying its a voice mail.

I don’t like the idea that you can’t screen with voice mail. As on an answering machine you can pick the phone up if you decide you want to take the call.

I have some messages saved on my old answering machine from a few years back with sentimental value, and I was wondering if there were any way that I could transfer them onto my computer in an audio format without just trying to record the phone.

I am starting a small decorations business while still keeping my 9-5 job. I can’t answer the phone until 3pm, but I would not like to loose potential clients that might call during those hours. I don’t want them to be turned off about having to leave a message on an answering machine. Any ideas?

When we are confirming an appointment can we leave this information on a home answering machine or give this information to another person who answers the phone other than the patient.

When I bought the phone it rang 3 times now it rings about 6 times before the answering machine comes on. I dont have the manual and its nowhere to be found online at all. General Electric Model#27996GE3-A.

Model # 28821 FE2 DECT 6.0. It has goog 411 on the front. I have a base answering machine that came with it and two handsets. Does anyone know how to get the Do Not Disturb off the handset screens. The phone does not ring with this on the screen and it is very frustrating not to be able to hear the phone to answer it. Could you explain it to me like a 4th grader.I have a brain injury. my answering machine is lame, its like "hi this is Ruthie, i am unavailable so leave a message and i’ll get bakc to you, thanks" but i want something FUNNY but not insulting like "hi i not here because i dont want to talk to you".

I called my brother and usually the answering machine will answer on the 3rd ring in an electronically generated man’s voice. But here lately it’s just been ringing over and over like 8 rings at a time as if he was using call waiting. I think that is what makes the phone ring continuously instead of giving you the caller, a busy signal. But could the answering machine be maxed out from in coming calls and could that be causing the phone to just ring continuously?

I’m looking for a 5.8 GHz digital cordless phone system with an answering machine. One handset will do but seeing that my old one just conked out 2 Handsets may be better. I thought I was set on a Panasonic phone but then started looking at Uniden. Now I’m overwhelmed at which brand is best! Can you help me out?
