While it is a lot cheaper to call countries like Bangladesh, Indonesia, India, Nigeria etc calling Philippines from the US is relatively expensive. Why is this the case, when there are so many of Filipinos live in the US and when US a lot of positive history with them? Also a lot of customer service call centers for US companies are there as well.
Please… I *DO NOT* want suggestions for calling Philippines. I only want answers that try to explain the reason the cost of calling P.I is so high. Thanks.

is it illegal for a U.S. company that has call centers in central and south america, to force their employees to say the call center is located in the U.S. when its not?

Hello everyone! I have recently begun my own call center that is based out of home. I am excited and customer service is actualy what I love to do.
I have advertised on Craigslist as well as google and yellow pages.com, I want to know if there are actual companies that I can register my business with as well, companies that need call centers?
Any advice would help and be most appreciated.

I have heard it is illegal to swear/cuss at people over the phone, particularly to people calling you from a place of business (call centers, managers or employees of a business). Is this true? Specifically, is it illegal in CA? This may be a silly question so bear with me
Thanks!!

They have that little warning, This call may be monitored to ensure quality customer service.
But half the time, I don’t see any quality customer service being performed when I call. Most of the time spent on the phone to the call centers is being transferred from person to person until I can finally get someone who’s comptent enough to actually help me with my problem.
Why is it legal for them to do so but not ok for you? Isn’t that a double standard?
