Will a netgear modem work with a linksys reciever?

I have a linksys modem but it is quite slow so i am changing to a 150mbps netgear one. But on my second computer there is a small box with an antennae on it which picks up the signal. It is from linksys so will it work with a netgear modem?
Please help. Thanks.

I have the broadcom usb device. My other laptop doesn’t "see" a signal from this modem. How do I use the net on both. They are side by side, but I don’t like waiting for someone to finish using the net so I can finish my work. Please be detailed.

I don’t know if my modem is directly connected to my computer or if it’s connected wirelessly. My modem and router are in the garage and have wires going into the walls so I’m assuming its directly connected? I don’t know much about this kind of stuff. Any help as to how I can tell how it’s connected is greatly appreciated.
I have this wire that connects my computer to this telephone plug on the wall. This means it’s directly connected right?

I have a Belkin wireless G router. I want to create a network between my laptop, my iPod touch, my Wii, and my Android phone. I don’t have an internet connection, other than my phone (which can be it’s own wireless hotspot, but doesn’t allow file transfer). Is it possible to do this without wiring the router into a modem of some sort?

Thanks in advance :)

I have a modem that is connected to my laptop. My laptop has wireless ability, I purchased a wireless router but it looks like I need to connect it to a desktop to make it work. Is this true?

My modem with my broadband internet emits a very high frequency which is very disturbing to my girlfriend who is sensitive to high frequencies since she suffered a brain injury several years ago.

Dial up does not bother her, but the broadband does, it nearly drives her mad and she must leave the room.

Will placing the modem in a lead lined film pouch block the frequency?

Thank you, this is a real problem.

I bought a Belkin N150 wireless router for my Verizon wireless USB760 modem but they’re not compatible. I’m confused! The router is asking for a WIRED modem (like a cable connection) in order for the two to connect. Are there any types of wireless routers that are compatible with this type of modem?
